Ambassador Scheme

Thinking of Becoming an Ambassador?

Become a Kindled Spirit Ambassador

Our Ambassadors are volunteers who support the objectives of Kindled Spirit. This is for people who want to go the extra mile to help raise funds or awareness for Kindled Spirit by organising appropriate activities, representing Kindled Spirit in their local area and helping to engage people with the work and aims of our charity.

What does being an Ambassador involve?

There are lots of different ways in which you can make a difference and support Kindled Spirit, here are a few suggestions:

  • Organise a fundraising event; from a coffee morning to a Gala dinner - the opportunities are endless!
  • Set up a small fundraising group or committee with friends, family or colleagues
  • Give short talks or presentations to groups in your area about the work of Kindled Spirit
  • Distribute collection tins to shops, cafes, restaurants etc. in your local community
  • Source auction or raffle prizes for our supporter events
  • Take part in an organised event to raise funds for Kindled Spirit

We do not expect every Ambassador to do all of the above; just doing one or two things can really help. The depth of your involvement as an Ambassador is completely up to you.

Charlie Cribb

Graduated – University of Exeter

I was made aware of Kindled Spirit back in 2013 when my father, Richard Cribb, founded the charity. I was inspired by his dedication to help the lives of countless victims of human trafficking. This has led me to help in many ways, from completing graphic design work to competing in the dreaded Wolf Run. Throughout the years, I’ve been so proud to be part of this great charity, that brings great people from all different locations and backgrounds together with one common goal, to help improve the lives of others who are less fortunate than us. I’m so proud of how far Kindled Spirit has come and I’m even more excited at the great things yet to come.

Amelia Cribb

Final Year – Falmouth University

Kindled Spirit has been a huge part of my life over the last 10 years since my father, Richard Cribb founded the charity. Over this time, I have taken on a range of roles within this charity to help in as many ways as possible. From the marketing and social media side to daily sea swims and a 3-day triathlon, which raised a combined total of over £3000. I am so proud of all that Kindled Spirit has achieved and I am so grateful to be a part of it. Bring on the next challenge!

Naomi Pye

Final Year – University of Exeter

Whilst at university, Amelia Cribb’s and Jack Well’s crazy challenges introduced me to Kindled Spirit. To swim every day in February in the freezing sea in Cornwall, I thought the cause must be significant. As I started to write about what Kindled Spirit were doing and what they were achieving, it opened my eyes to the extent of the trafficking and treatment of the tens of thousands of girls and young women in India. Through Kindled Spirit and Kshamata’s rehabilitation, many of these young women have been given a second chance at life. The work that Kindled Spirit do will never cease to impress me and I love having the opportunity to write about and share the success of their work with others.

Jack Wells

Final Year – University of Exeter

During my first term at university in Cornwall, my flatmate Amelia Cribb invited me to join her in a sea swim for the charity Kindled Spirit. I agreed, not knowing what I would get myself into... One month of chilly daily sea swimming later, I had discovered a unique and powerful new sense of achievement through collectively raising over £1100 going towards the incredible causes that Kindled Spirit support. Since this experience, I have loved taking on more exciting fundraising challenges and sharing the work that is carried out in support of the young and vulnerable women helped by the work Kindled Spirit and their partner charity carry out. I believe we should all strive to support such deeply human causes as that of Kindled Spirit and Kshamata.
