Inaugural Dinner
More than 110 guests attended the inaugural dinner of the newly formed charity Kindled Spirit. The setting could not have been better, the recently built Pavilion at Warwick School was drenched in the evening sun as guests enjoyed their reception drinks on the balcony, ate canapés and enjoyed the cricket match playing out on the pitch below. The guest speaker was Bharti Patel, CEO ECPAT, she gave a short presentation on the latest thinking around human trafficking from a global perspective.
The audience were also informed of the 2014 beneficiary – the anti human trafficking NGO based in Mumbai called Kshamata. After dinner, guests heard some gripping tales from the Serial Adventurer – James Ketchell, who completed his Global Cycle ride earlier this year. The evening was punctuated with fun games and other fundraising activities hosted by the Trustees of Kindled Spirit, the event raised £9,200.
